Today's Medical appt. went very well.

Thought you might enjoy another picture of the boys.
Nicolae and Cristian having fun dressing up!

Today went amazingly well at the doctor's office. I had to get new medicals for the boys. The last time I went was in February. It took approximately 5 1/2 hrs. Today it took about 30 minutes!
I asked Nann, from ROCK, to go with me because I am not sure how competent my Romanian is. Oh should I say...I know how incompetent my Romanian is. Nann was happy to help out. She even drove us there. Yay! Riding in a car...hmmm. It has been a while.

When we got there the social worker/nurse recognized me right away. She was very nice. She commented right away about the boys too. She thought they looked great and happy. Who was I to disagree?

Anyway, Oana Clocotici, the social worker was so incredibly helpful. She asked if I had their medical papers from the last time. I didn't. Carmen and Ani had received that paperwork and turned it into the DPC. I never even saw their medical papers.
She didn't seemed to worried about it. She was sure that they had copies and left immediately to get them . It took maybe 10 mins. And get this; she even made copies for me to keep!

She then went to speak to the doctor about doing the medical exams for the boys. We might have waited another 5 minutes. The doctor was very friendly. He had been to the states before.
He chatted with Nann about Mexican food, Taco Bell, Oregon, Washington etc. He was great with Nicolae and Cristian too. He checked the boys breathing and heart and that was it. We talked some more and then we were done. No blood work, nothing.

Oana asked if I had the ... all important stamp needed for the medical paperwork... I did.
She came back a little bit later with the completed documents, signed, stamped and delivered. And that was it. We were done! It was truly amazing, especially knowing that the last time it took more than 2 weeks to get the results.
Even more amazing...they didn't charged me anything! Bev and I were of course thrilled. We went out to eat with Nann afterwards. It was a nice way to spend the next couple of hours. Beats sitting waiting for a bunch of doctors to poke and prod the boys.
So for all of you who have been praying. Thanks. Please keep the prayers coming.

FYI...Mr. Mocanu just called and said he checked the files at the courts today for me. Things are looking good. Yeah!

Compassion starts early!

The boys have taken interest in two people we see in Romania on a consistent basis. This lady is
Doanma Geta. We see her every time we go to Cora to shop. The boys make sure we have a banana or an apple to give her. Yesterday the boys actually gave her some bani(money) they had found. For them, this is truly a gift of giving because they were going to use this money to buy gum.

The other person is a man we see in the metro. His name is Alexandru. The boys always make a point to stop and talk to him too. The other day they gave him the much prized cookies they had made with Auntie Teri. It was nice to see that they boys were so willing to do without eating the cookies themselves.

Doamna Geta is only 57 years old and lives somewhere close to Cora. I don't know much about Alexandru. I am guessing he is in his 40's .
Please pray for Geta and Alexandru. I know life is hard for both of them.

Hi all...just thought I'd send this lovely picture so you can see what
Nicolae bought with his money from the Tooth Fairy.
Cristi spent money that he had been saving. His gum is red. It doesn't quite have the same effect.

Just the three of us!

So today was the first day with just the three of us. It went very well. The boys were so well behaved.
The picture is of the three of us getting ready to eat dinner.

We spent the day reading together, working on math and playing around with letter stamps. The boys loved the stamps. We also went grocery shopping and played in the park. I will sleep well tonight.

Cristian: Mami...what does this say?

Nicolae: abcdefghijkl......

Teri just left for the airport via a taxi. Her flight takes off a little after 6am this morning, which will be a little after 8 Tuesday night for those of you in Ca. Please pray that her flights will go well and that she arrives home safely. I will miss her so much and I know the boys are going to miss her too.
Bev will be here in a week. Please pray that she has time to get her classroom closed up and feels ready to come out here. God keep her healthy and safe. Yipes! A whole week by myself! Please pray for me too.

Sarbatori- A Celebration!

Nicolae graduated from Gradinita today. He hasn't been attending the last two months, but his teacher(Doamne Irina) invited him to attend the ceremony. Gradinita is sort of like preschool and Kindergarten combined. There were 7 out of about 20 kids who got ribbons. The girls ribbons were pink and of course the boys were blue. The ribbons signify what students will be going to school(Scoala) next year. School starts with grade 1.
The children sang songs, danced and recited poems. Nicolae's teacher even had Nicolae lead a song. So sweet.

It was very nice of his teacher to invite him to today. It was a great celebration. Nicolae was lucky to have such a caring, teacher and person in his life. Praise God for this blessing.

Zana Maseluta - The Tooth Fairy

Nicolae lost a tooth this morning! Luckily, he didn't really "lose it!"
He has it placed safely under his pillow, waiting for the Tooth Fairy to leave him some money.
Smile!
