Today's Court Date

Today's court date didn't go as I had hoped it would have. When we got there this morning, we found out that the courts had summonsed the father and the mother just like they should have. However, the letter they sent didn't make it to the father because the building he claimed to be living at was demolished. Therefore the letter got sent back to the courts. So...since the father wasn't "adequately notified", my case has been delayed until August 5th. Hopefully, I will get a yes then.
It has been a difficult morning. So devastating. Still just trying to process what happened today.

Tomorrow is the big day. Please Pray

I wanted to send out one more email and ask all of you to keep tomorrow in your prayers.
I have to be at the court at 8:30 am Tuesday morning. I have no idea exactly what time I will actually see the judge though.
Please pray that everything goes well.
Some concerns are....What if their biological parents do show up? Are all of my documents in order?
Are they enough? Will the judge agree to allow me to adopt? How will it go with the new translator?
Will the judge ask me lots of questions? Will I be able to respond correctly? How will my Romanian hold up? I am nervous for sure.

So 8:30 Tuesday morning will be 10:30 Monday night for all of you in California.
I will let you know how it goes asap.

Swimming, swimming and more swimming

On Saturday, we got to go swimming at the club Karen and Beti belong to. It was a wonderful day.
We spent 7 hrs. there. Nicolae and Cristian loved the water...no fear. It was Cristian's very first time. Nicolae had been to the ocean before, so he had some experience in the water. It was great to see them having so much fun.

Water wings, noodles and splash balls were the choice of toys for the day! Thanks again Tricia for the water balls. The boys and lots of other children at the pool enjoyed playing with them.




Bev and I had a great time as well. It was such a wonderful way to spend the day. Another day of creating memories.

Hope you all had a happy 4th of July.
We spent it our day at Dr. Kay's and his wife Amy's house. They had a potluck BBQ.There were lots of American's there. It was a nice way to spend the day.
In the evening we went to Tineretului Park for some fireworks. Romania was having some sort of International Festival. Fireworks on the 4th!
It was nice, but so ready to be back in the U.S.A.
